Brownbag #103 (05/15/09, Friday, 1.00pm, YH2050)

Dear Virus Enthusiasts,

Tomorrow, we'll discuss a truly historic paper from 1898 (not a typo, thats 111 yrs ago), the first ever report of an "unfilterable" virus from animal hosts!

The paper was originally in German and its translated title reads as: "Report of the Commission for Research on the Foot-and-Mouth Disease" by Freidrich Loeffler and Paul Frosch.

A PDF of the English version, which Bill scanned for us yesterday, is attached (see below for alternative free online version). Please join us tomorrow to discuss this work.

Sincerely,

Ajay
