Dear Colleagues,
Here are two papers from the 70s which investigate the secondary structure of viral RNA molecules by electron microscopy. The first paper by Jacobson investigates the effect of Mg2+, while the second determines the structures of partially denatured RNA. The first paper (by Ann Jacobson) will be the main subject of discussion tomorrow, but those who read the second one can choose to add to the discussion from it.
1) Studies on secondary structure of single-stranded RNA from
bacteriophage MS2 by electron microscopy, by Ann B. Jacobson*

2) Secondary structure of RNA from bacteriophages f2 Qbeta, and PP7.
