venue (as noted in the subject line above).

We will discuss a Nature Gene Therapy article titled: "Reconstituted
influenza virus envelopes as an efficient carrier system for cellular
delivery of small-interfering RNAs".

Brownbag #86 (10/31/08, Fri, 12:30pm, YH2050)

Hello everyone,

This week we will discuss a paper by the famous physicist Eugene Wigner: "The unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics in the natural sciences", Communications in Pure and Applied Mathematics 13 (1960) p. 222-237. Since we do not have online access to this paper from the UCLA campus, you can download it from the website. You need to log in first and then go to "Web File Manager". You can find the file in the directory Journal_Club/Future_Articles.

See you this Friday at the usual time (12:30 pm) and place (YH2050).

Brownbag #85 (10/24/08, Fri, 12:30pm, YH2050)

Brownbag #82 (9/26/08, Fri, 12:00pm, YH2050)

Hello everyone,

This Friday we are meeting for group meeting a half hour earlier than "usual", at noon. We will discuss "A structural model for maturation of the hepatitis B virus core" by Roseman et al., PNAS 102 (2005) p. 15821-15826. Here's a link to the paper: http://dx.doi.org/10.1073/pnas.0504874102 .

See you on Friday,

Peter

Brownbag #81 (9/19/08, Fri, 12:30p, YH2050)

Dear Colleagues,

This Friday, we will discuss entropic contributions in partially confined DNA in a paper titled "Confinement-Induced Entropic Recoil of Single DNA Molecules in a Nanofluidic Structure" from the Craighead lab at Cornell.

PDF reprints can be obtained at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevLett.88.128103
